As principal of the Benfer Bobcats, I am delighted and honored to lead our school community. My journey as an educator started off as a student at the University of Houston. While earning my Bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, I worked as a special education paraprofessional for the Harris County Department of Education. After graduating, I held various positions in Spring ISD as a 2nd- 4th-grade teacher, ESL coordinator, and Instructional Specialist. Once I obtained my master’s degree at Lamar University, I soon became an assistant principal in Katy ISD and later, in Klein ISD for a total of 5 years before taking on the principal role at Benfer.

When I am not advocating for the education of students, I am being a mother to my 2 wonderful children, Mason and Morgan, who are also Klein ISD students. Often, I attend sporting events with my kids throughout the district, so if you see me out and about, be sure to say hello. Additionally, I can be seen out shopping, walking/jogging in the park, discovering new restaurants, and traveling to explore unfamiliar places.

Throughout the school year, I look forward to working alongside our Benfer Family.

My goal is to maintain a positive school culture and successful educational program conducive to student learning and development through personalized learning experiences. If you need to reach me, do not hesitate to shoot me an email or call my office. As a Klein ISD educator, I am here to ensure that EVERY student is able to discover their purpose and ultimately become a success.

I am privileged and honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve the Benfer campus and community. I have served Klein ISD for 16 years, previously at Kuehnle Elementary as a teacher and as an assistant principal. I obtained my B.S. from Sam Houston State University and earned my M. Ed. from the University of North Texas.

When I am not working, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my fiancé. I also enjoy shopping and being by the water. You can even catch me exploring craft fairs, trade shows, and market days all around southern Texas.

I have a strong belief in building a culture of trust and partnership while serving others. I believe in providing opportunities to inspire and positively influence the lives of others. I believe strongly in the Promise2Purpose vision of Klein ISD and I am dedicated to the restless pursuit of student success.

I am thrilled to begin my first year as a Benfer Bobcat in Klein ISD as Assistant Principal.  I received my B.A. from Sam Houston State University and my M. Ed. from Angelo State University, where my areas of focus were School Counseling and Educational Administration.  I most recently served in Spring ISD as a school counselor. Prior to Spring ISD I taught grades 5-8 in Aldine ISD and Klein ISD. I am extremely grateful and excited to continue my journey as your Assistant Principal.

While I am not at work, I enjoy running, watching game shows, and spending time with family. I have two children, J who is 15 currently attending school at Klein Collins and Jillian, who is 11, currently at Schindewolf.  I enjoy watching J play Collins football and Jillian play soccer, dance, and swim.

As a proud Klein ISD alumni, I look forward to serving our Benfer community, and ensuring all students succeed academically and socially. Go Bobcats!
